California’s Copper Cane Wines & Provisions has announced the Westhoff Pioneers Collection, a new series of wines (each $45-$50 a 750-ml.) paying tribute to winemaker Joe Wagner’s family history of wine production. The new brand launches with three wines: FRA, a blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre sourced from Sonoma County; ITA, a blend of Sagrantino, Teroldego, Nero d’Avola, and Negro Amaro from Santa Barbara County; and USA, a blend of Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petite Sirah from Sonoma.
