Cooper & Thief Release Latest Whiskey Barrel-Aged Wine

The new Cabernet Sauvignon was aged for six months in rye whiskey barrels.

Constellation Brands has released a new Cabernet Sauvignon in its whiskey barrel-aged Cooper & Thief line. The 2015 Cooper & Thief Cabernet Sauvignon ($60 a 750-ml.) was aged for six months in rye whiskey barrels from Utah’s High West Distillery. The wine has dark fruit notes and a smooth finish reminiscent of rye whiskey. Joining a red blend and a Sauvignon Blanc in Cooper & Thief’s portfolio, the offering is available nationwide.
