Dalla Valle Vineyards And Ornellaia Partner On Napa Cabernet

Dubbed DVO, the California-Italian collaboration features grapes sourced from cooler Napa Valley sites.

Italy’s Ornellaia and Napa Valley’s Dalla Valle Vineyards are collaborating on a new Napa red that will launch in October with the 2018 vintage. The upcoming wine, DVO ($300 a 750-ml.), is a Cabernet Sauvignon-based wine with a small addition of Cabernet Franc sourced from cooler Napa Valley sites in Coombsville, Mount Veeder, and Oakville. DVO was created by second-generation winemaker Maya Dalla Valle and founder and proprietor Naoko Dalla Valle, alongside Ornellaia winemaker Axel Heinz and CEO Giovanni Geddes da Filicaja. DVO will be available in select markets. For more information, visit Dvowine.com
