C. Mondavi & Family’s French Blue has announced two new sparkling wines from Bordeaux. The wines, both Crémant de Bordeaux, will come in Brut and Brut Rosé offerings ($25 a 750-ml.). The wines were made in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region and rested on the lees for a year with the Brut sparkler made from Merlot, Sémillon, and Muscadelle; and the rosé made from 99% Merlot. The pair join the rest of the French Blue portfolio which consists of a rosé, a Sauvignon Blanc, and a red Bordeaux. The new wines are available nationwide.
