Prestige Wine Imports, a New York-based subsidiary of Gruppo Mezzacorona, has expanded its Sicilian wine brand Stemmari. Intended to showcase Sicily’s signature grape varietal, Hedonis Riserva (around $50 a 750-ml.) is made with 100% Nero d’Avola. The 13% abv offering is available nationwide, and joins Pinot Grigio, Gillo, rosé, Canernet Sauvignon, and Pinot Noir in the Stemmari portfolio, among other wines.
