Prestige Wine Imports launched a new sparkling wine from its Mezzacorona brand this spring. Sourced from estate-grown grapes in the Alpine foothills in Northeastern Italy’s Trentino region, Mezza di Mezzacorona ($15 a 750-ml.) is comprised of 60-percent Chardonnay, 30-percent Pinot Bianco and 10-percent Müller-Thurgau. The wine has notes of wildflowers, tropical fruits and peach. Targeted at millennials, the wine is intended to dovetail with the increasing number of more casual occasions for sparkling wine consumption. The new entry is available nationwide.
