Shaw-Ross Introduces Maen Japanese Whisky

The brand includes Whisky Blend, 8-year-old, and 12-year-old expressions.

Shaw-Ross International Importers has launched Maen Whisky in the U.S., bringing a trio of expressions from the Japanese brand to the States. The first release, Maen Japanese Whisky Blend ($65 a 750-ml.), marries 20% malt whisky with 80% grain whisky (made from 70% corn, 25% rye, and 5% malted barley). The whiskies in the blend are aged between three and five years. The other two releases are Japanese single malts bottled at 8- and 12-years-old, with the younger whisky retailing for $125 and the older for $165. All three whiskies are bottled at 43% abv.
