Brown-Forman-owned California winemaker Sonoma-Cutrer has introduced a Russian River Valley Pinot Noir finished in Woodford Reserve Bourbon barrels as part of its Winemaker’s Release series. The new wine ($50 a 750-ml.), which is a 2018 vintage, was aged in one-third each of new, 1-year-old, and 2-year-old French oak for 11 months, then blended together and finished for four months in first-fill Woodford Reserve Bourbon barrels. Retailing at $50, the new release is available in select markets. For more information, visit Sonomacutrer.com.
