Constellation Brands is launching two new wines in its upscale California brand The Prisoner: a Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and Carneros Chardonnay. The Cabernet ($55 a 750-ml.) includes small amounts of Merlot, Syrah, Malbec, Petite Sirah, and Charbono, while the Chardonnay ($40) has some Roussanne and Gewürztraminer in its blend. In addition to the standard 750-ml. format, the new entries will join the flagship Prisoner red blend in a three-bottle gift pack of 375-mls in time for the holidays.
