Wente Family Estates has been named the U.S. importer for Argentina’s Bodega Cuarto Dominio. Located in the Uco Valley of Mendoza, Cuarto Dominio focuses on Malbec from high-altitude vineyards. Wente will initially launch four Malbecs from the winery in the U.S.: the flagship offering from the family’s La Consulta vineyard ($55 a 750-ml.); Chento, selected from three parcels of La Consulta ($19); Tolentino, blended from the family’s vineyards ($15); and Lote 44 ($13), billed as a fruit-forward Malbec.
