At the foot of the iconic Mont Ventoux, rising 6,270 ft above the Southern Rhône, lies one of France’s most exciting appellations: AOC Ventoux. Defined by its mountain influence, the region enjoys a uniquely cool climate that brings freshness, balance, and elegance to its wines. With dramatic temperature shifts between day and night, grapes ripen slowly, delivering precision and vibrancy rarely seen in this sun-drenched part of France. Ventoux is also the only Rhône appellation with vineyards stretching across two Regional Natural Parks and two UNESCO Biosphere Reserves, reflecting its exceptional biodiversity.

The wines themselves reflect this diversity: Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, and Carignan create supple, spicy reds and lively rosés, while Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Roussanne, Viognier, and Vermentino produce textured whites with orchard-fruit charm.
What makes Ventoux even more compelling is its dynamic community of winegrowers. More than 20 nationalities of winemakers, whether in cooperatives, private estates, or négociants, share the same passion for the mountain and its terroir. Together, they form a collaborative and forward-thinking network committed to sustainability, innovation, and transmitting this unique land to future generations.

Recognition has followed swiftly. Once considered an insider’s secret, Ventoux is now described by international critics as undergoing a true “Ventoux revolution.” In 2022, the appellation hosted a seminar at the prestigious Hospice du Rhône in collaboration with Jeb Dunnuck.
Beyond wine, Mont Ventoux is a mecca for cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts, celebrated as one of the Tour de France’s most legendary climbs. Just like the mountain itself, the wines of Ventoux embody resilience, freshness, and dynamism. Today, Ventoux is no longer just an emerging name—it is truly the rising star of the Rhône Valley.
