Barrell Craft Spirits Launches Foundation Bourbon

The lower-proof offering blends whiskies from Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, and Maryland.

Kentucky-based Barrell Craft Spirits has announced Foundation, a new lower-proof permanent addition to the company’s portfolio. The new whiskey ($60 a 750-ml.) is blended from Bourbon sourced from Kentucky (8 years old), Indiana (5, 6, and 9 years old), Tennessee (8 years old), and Maryland (5 and 6 years old), and bottled at 50% abv. This release is the first whiskey from Barrell not to be released at cask strength. Foundation is now available in Arizona, California, Delaware, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Texas, Washington state, and Washington, D.C., ahead of a national rollout in January 2024.
