E-Commerce Drinks Expands Online Platform For Wine

A new sales platform makes its debut that will allow for the “decentralized distribution of alcohol” for the first time

California-based e-commerce provider Drinks has launched its new supplier network for Drinks Anywhere, a sales platform that the company says will allow for the “decentralized distribution of alcohol” for the first time. Drinks has signed organic wine brand Avaline as the first partner to be sold through the Drinks Anywhere platform. Drinks Anywhere’s goal is to make shopping for alcohol online as simple as shopping for non-regulated products by allowing suppliers and retailers to list their products through Drinks’ infrastructure. “Our supplier network provides the licensed inventory foundation that powers Drinks Anywhere, enabling any digital merchant to offer alcohol without the traditional barriers,” says Zac Brandenberg, co-founder and CEO of Drinks.

The company has also partnered with DTC sales platform Commerce7 to make the Commerce7 winery portfolio—including hundreds of premium wine brands—available through the Drinks Anywhere network. The Drinks Anywhere infrastructure allows websites to offer a wine selection alcohol regulations, or building new operational capabilities, according to the company.
