E-Commerce Player Drinks Teams Up With Shopify

Beverage e-commerce company Drinks has partnered with internet business platform Shopify. The partnership will introduce a system to allow wineries and beverage alcohol retailers to embed tax and compliance calculations within a Shopify-powered transaction. It will be available to Shopify Plus level merchants at launch through Drinks’ app. The innovation is intended to streamline the parts of beverage sales regulations that can hamper direct-to-consumer sales. Clients will also have access to Drinks’ in-house retention and growth agency Electriq to help start, run, and grow DTC sales.
