González Byass USA has launched a certified-organic wine within Chilean brand Viñedos Veramonte’s lineup. Made in Chile’s Casablanca Valley, the 2018 Viñedos Veramonte Sauvignon Blanc ($12 a 750-ml.) marks the first expression in what González Byass says will eventually be a wholly organic and biodynamic portfolio of Chilean wines. The company plans to convert all its vineyards in the Casablanca, Colchagua, and Apalta Valleys to 100% organic and biodynamic farming over the next couple of years.
