Brown-Forman’s Casa Herradura released a new super-premium Tequila entry this month. Herradura Ultra (pricing varies by market) is made by blending Herradura Añejo with Extra Añejo Tequila that was aged for up to 49 months in American white oak barrels. The liquid is then filtered to remove color. Ultra has subtle agave flavors, with notes of caramel, vanilla, wood and dried fruits on the palate.

Herradura Ultra, which was previously available only in Mexico, is launching exclusively in the on-premise in key markets, including California, Florida, Georgia, Nevada and Texas. The 40-percent abv, 100-percent agave Tequila joins Blanco, Silver, Reposado, Añejo and Selección Suprema Extra Añejo expressions in Herradura’s portfolio. According to Impact Databank, Herradura grew 12 percent to 130,000 cases in the United States last year.
