Hopes End
Trinchero Family Estates is launching a new Australian red blend. Produced by Australia’s Angove Family Winemakers, Hopes End ($12 a 750-ml. bottle) is made with Shiraz, Grenache, Malbec and Petit Verdot sourced from the McLaren Vale, Barossa and Murray Valley regions. J. Lohr Signature Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon
J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines introduced a limited-edition wine in honor of Jerry Lohr’s 80th birthday in January. The 2013 J. Lohr Signature Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon ($100 a 750-ml. bottle) is made using high-altitude Cabernet from winegrower Steve Beck and estate Merlot from Paso Robles’ El Pomar District, as well as a small amount of Napa Valley Petit Verdot. San Simeon Stormwatch Red Blend
Riboli Family Wine Estates has extended its San Simeon wine brand with a super-premium Bordeaux-style red blend. Sourced from Paso Robles, Stormwatch ($70 a 750-ml. bottle) comprises Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc and was matured in French oak barrels.
