Pernod Ricard has launched a new expression in its Glenlivet portfolio, a 14-year-old single malt Scotch whisky finished in Cognac casks. The 40% abv whisky is initially matured in American oak and first-fill Sherry casks before finishing, blending, and bottling. Glenlivet 14-year-old Cognac Cask Selection ($55 a 750-ml.) is exclusively available in the U.S., and $1 from each bottle sold by participating retailers will be donated to the Purple Heart Foundation (up to $100,000).
