Valdo Spumanti Introduces Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG

Blending Glera and Chardonnay, the Italian sparkling wine is made via the Martinotti-Charmat method.

Italy’s Valdo Spumanti is launching a Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG in the U.S. market. The Superiore DOCG ($20 a 750-ml.) comprises 90% Glera grapes and 10% Chardonnay and is made using the Martinotti-Charmat method. It’s rolling out to select retailers nationwide.
